L’album è un insieme di quattro ballate per pianoforte di genere neo-classico arricchite con elementi di musica pop. È ispirato dalla bellezza della natura che si percepisce guardando il cielo notturno. La vista di milioni di stelle – piccoli punti evocati in costellazioni e enormi galassie ci ricordano sempre la nostra piccolezza.
Da un lato più guardiamo in alto nel cielo più ci sentiamo fortunati dalla semplice possibilità di vivere per ammirare una tale visione. Dall’altro lato, possiamo anche provare disagio, perplessi e inclini a mettere in discussione il nostro scopo nell’universo. Tale dualità di sentimenti può essere espressa al meglio nella musica. È la forza motrice principale e il concetto dell’EP – Constellations.
Piotr Wiese è un compositore, pianista e produttore musicale polacco. Ha preso la prima lezione di pianoforte all’età di 8 anni per poi frequentare diverse scuole di musica in Polonia: l’Istituto di musica di Leszno, l’Accademia di musica di Poznań, l’Accademia di musica di Bydgoszcz dove ha studiato composizione con il famoso compositore polacco prof. Zbigniew Bargielski (allievo di Nadia Boulanger). Nel 2016 si è laureato presso il Dipartimento di musica dell’Università di Bristol, nel Regno Unito (studi di master in composizione con il prof. John Pickard). L’album di debutto di Piotr Wiese “Questioning Infinity”, set di brevi concerti per pianoforte composti durante il suo anno e mezzo di soggiorno a Berlino, è stato pubblicato in modo indipendente nel 2014. Il secondo album di Wiese “Continuum” (2018) insieme a due EP pianistici “Unsustained Triptych, vol. 1” e “Sustained Triptych, vol. 2” “si è rivelato un grande successo. La sua musica è stata trasmessa in streaming oltre un milione di volte in tutto il mondo.

“Constellations” is an album for solo piano composed by polish pianist and composer Piotr Wiese. The album is available on all digital platforms and CD on bluespiralrecords.com website.
The album is a set of four neo-classical piano ballads enriched with pop-music elements. It is inspired by the beauty of nature that one can perceive when looking at the night sky. The view of millions of stars – tiny little points conjured into constellations and enormous galaxies always remind us of our smallness.
On the one hand the longer we look up in the sky the more we feel blessed by the mere possibility of living to admire such a view. On the other, we may also feel unease, perplexed, and inclined to question our purpose in the universe. Such duality of feelings can be best expressed in music. It is the main driving force and concept of the EP – Constellations.
Piotr Wiese is a polish composer, pianist, and music producer. He took the first piano lesson at the age of 8. He attended several music schools in Poland: The Institute of Music in Leszno, The Academy of Music in Poznań, The Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz where he studied composition under prominent polish composer prof. Zbigniew Bargielski (Nadia Boulanger’s pupil). In 2016 he graduated from The Music Department at The University of Bristol, UK (Master’s Degree studies in composition with prof. John Pickard). Piotr Wiese’s debut album “Questioning Infinity”, set of short piano concertos composed during his year and a half stay in Berlin, was released independently in 2014. Wiese’s second full-length album ‘Continuum’ (2018) along with two piano solo EP’s “Unsustained Triptych, vol. 1” and “Sustained Triptych, vol. 1” turned out to be a great success. His music has been streamed over a million times around the world.
